Salesforce Marketing Cloud - July 2020 Release Highlights
Today, we're giving you an overview of some of the — in our opinion — most important highlights of the July release of Marketing Cloud:
Behavioral Triggers
With Behavioral Triggers, Salesforce is introducing a new tool in Journey Builder that makes it easy to configure wish list, browse, and cart abandonment emails.
Interaction Studio is now Powered by Einstein
With the purchase of Evergage, a new version of Interaction Studio goes live that enables AI-driven 1:1 personalization. You can find out more about this in our Feature Friday post from last week.
Transactional Send Email Journeys
In addition to multi-step and single-step journeys, Journey Builder now also offers transactional send email journeys, which can be used to send transactional emails. A Transactional API Entry Source can be configured in the interface without the assistance of a developer.
Single Send SMS Journeys
Another new type of journey is the Single Send SMS Journeys. Similar to single-step email journeys, these are used to send a single SMS message to a data extension.
Remove contacts from journeys
With the new release, users have the opportunity to find a specific contact within an ongoing or stopped journey, view the path they have taken over the last 30 days, and remove the contact from the journey if necessary.
Einstein Send Time Optimization for Push Messages
Einstein Send Time Optimization is now also available for sending push messages. STO for e-mail can of course still be used in parallel. The feature only needs to be activated in the setup and can then be used in Journeys.
