Salesforce Marketing Cloud - Evergage

With the July 2020 release, a new version of Interaction Studio went live: The new Interaction Studio is now Evergage. Evergage was acquired by Salesforce back in February 2020. This replaces the previous version based on Thunderhead. The old version can still be used by existing customers; new customers are now starting with the new, evergage-based Interaction Studio.

At the core of Evergage is a customer data platform (CDP), which aggregates first and third party data and creates uniform customer profiles. The aggregated data can then be used for real-time cross-channel personalizations on websites, in mobile apps or in emails, for target group segmentation, or for further analysis in BI tools.

Evergage promises not only the collection of standard website visit metrics, but also the analysis of mouse movements, scrolling, inactivity and time spent by individual website visitors — for more granular and meaningful data.

May be particularly interesting for email marketers Triggered emails, which are triggered by website visitors after certain actions, the personalization of emails at opening time and the ability to recognize the visitor after clicking from an email even when returning to the website later and to associate it with the email click.
