New features at Picsonal
How do I make my emails more attractive and relevant to recipients? That's the challenge email marketers face with every new campaign. In recent years, it has been shown that individualizing the content and adapting it to the context of email opening (i.e. the device, time, weather at the time of opening, etc.) in particular lead to higher conversion rates. We have responded to this with our Picsonal service and now offer three new features that can help make emails and their content more relevant, up-to-date and attractive for recipients.

Feature 1: More timeliness through web-to-mail
Newsletters are ideal for promoting products, for example as part of a discount campaign. But what happens when the recipient first reads the email and clicks on the link to the online shop, when the advertised product is already sold out or the price has changed? The recipient is disappointed and user engagement is wasted. Integrating the email delivery tool with inventory management would be an option, but this is complex and sometimes cost-intensive.
Picsonal offers a small but highly efficient solution to this problem and uses web-to-mail to create a 1:1 relationship between the content of a website and the content of the associated email — without time-consuming integration of data. Each time an email is opened, a screenshot of a predefined area of the subscription website is generated within milliseconds and integrated into the email. Thanks to this automatic synchronization at the time of opening, the content is always up to date and can change several times even if the same email is opened several times. In this way, customers really only see what they can buy and disappointment is avoided.
Feature 2: More individuality through image personalization
When you open a newsletter, a personalized image immediately communicates two things: “You are special” and “The content of this email is specifically for you.” If the recipient sees their own name in an image, such as a coupon, this special form of personal contact automatically increases their willingness to pay attention to the content of the email.
With Picsonal, images with recipient names, personal voucher codes or personalized messages can be added to newsletters. Publicare creates the artwork for you, or you can simply use your own images. The special thing about Picsonal: The images are integrated into the emails via dynamic URLs and are only generated when the email is opened. In this way, only what is actually seen is created and billed.
Feature 3: More attention through videos in emails
It's no secret that videos attract more attention. The problem so far, however, was that they could only be used in emails to a limited extent, as different email clients handle them in very different ways. Some clients play videos, others only show alerts, still images, or error messages. That is why many email marketing managers opt for emergency solutions such as animated gifs or still images with links to landing pages and avoid the wow effect of an integrated video.
With Picsonal's automatic device recognition, marketers can now do both: integrate videos and “play it safe.” This includes an HTML5 video tag in the email that contains a dynamic Picsonal link. Each time it is opened, the Picsonal server delivers the appropriate video format or an animated gif or a still image, depending on the device and email client.
