Salesforce Marketing Cloud - May 2020 Release Highlights
For a few days now, we have been able to look forward to new features in the Marketing Cloud that went live with the May 2020 release — or will go live in the course of June. We will discuss individual features in more detail in the upcoming Feature Fridays.

Today, we're presenting our two Journey Builder release highlights:
- Pause journeys
- Path Optimizer Test Activity
Journey pause feature
Announced for the end of June, we're really looking forward to this feature. With it, it will be possible to pause ongoing journeys for up to 14 days.
During this time, all contacts remain in the activity they were in when they paused.
In this way, it is finally possible to react to current events, such as website downtimes or urgent content adjustments, without having to stop the journeys.
This sometimes saves a lot of time and effort.

Path Optimizer Test Activity
At last! With the Path Optimizer Test Activity, a function is added to the Journey Builder that enables partially or fully automated testing of up to 10 alternative paths.
The basic functionality is known from the email A/B test: you define the paths, select the number of contacts to be tested, set the email KPI to automatically determine the winning version, and that's it.
Unfortunately, there is also a downside: the feature is only available in “Run Once” journeys with a data extension as an entry source.
We will test the new Journey Activity extensively over the coming days and discuss it in more detail in a later Feature Friday post.
